TMEIC Nagasaki Works – Factory Tour Information

TMEIC Nagasaki Works serves as a manufacturing hub for large and medium-sized motors and generators, supporting a wide range of industries including steel, petrochemicals, marine, and power generation. Here, we produce globally acclaimed products such as high-efficiency induction motors (IE3 “Premium Efficiency” / IE4 “Super Premium Efficiency” per IEC standards), large vertical motors, and 2-pole air-cooled turbine generators.

Technical Highlights

■High-Efficiency Motor Technology
High-efficiency induction motors IE3/IE4 (75 kW to 160 kW class). The latest IE4 series achieves up to 30% weight reduction compared to previous models while improving efficiency, contributing to energy savings and CO₂ reduction. This is Japan’s first complete IE4 lineup, delivering the world’s lightest class of motors.

■Synchronous Reluctance Motor (SynRM)
Among the world’s largest SynRM units, achieving more than 10 times the rated torque compared to conventional designs and an efficiency of 96.7%. Rare-earth-free design reduces environmental impact and offers outstanding maintainability. Gaining attention for applications in electric ship propulsion and e-mobility.

■Smart Digital Factory
Leveraging IoT and data analytics for process management to ensure both quality and productivity.
Comprehensive traceability and rigorous safety management are also implemented.
